Be safe

be responsible

be respectful

Rundle Elementary is a PBIS/MTSS school. Schools are successful when they help children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. For this to happen it is imperative that we have a safe environment that is supportive and conducive for growth. By setting forth clear social and behavioral expectations and directly teaching students about those expectations, our goal is to create a positive atmosphere for optimal learning.
What is PBIS and MTSS?

PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and supports)
is a data driven and research based framework teaching and encouraging positive behavior.

MTSS (Multi-tiered systems and support)
With PBIS/MTSS kids are taught behavior the same way they are taught other subjects.

What will students learn through this framework?

Self-Awareness- Recognizing one’s emotions and values as well as one’s strengths and weaknesses.
Social Awareness- Showing understanding and empathy.
Self-Management- Managing emotions and behaviors according to the expectations.
Relationship Skills- forming positive relationships, working in teams, dealing effectively with conflict.
Responsible Decision Making- making positive, ethical choices about personal and social behavior.
